Due to the rich and long history of Chinese Kung Fu, there are many styles or schools of Kung Fu. A style may be classified by its location and its combat emphasis, in addition to being known for having sprung form devotees of a certain religion. Whatever, let´s look at the main classifications of Kung Fu.
Northern styles of Kung Fu are particularly noted for their advanced physicality. Famous Northern Styles of Kung Fu are: Changquan (Northern Longfist), Tai Chi Chuan (Original Chen Style), Northern Praying Mantis, Bajiquan (Baji Fist).

Southern Styles originates in the south of the Yangtze River, and they are known for their strong, stable stances, emphasising grounding. Southern Styles are more direct and easier to learn. Hung Gar, Wing Chun, White Crane, Choi Li Fut and Dragon are the most popular of this kind styles.
